[It’s another average, but boring morning in the mansion when suddenly voices start coming from Rod’s room again. Thankfully, the room is locked and it appears that he isn’t trapped inside his own body (luckily for everyone it appears that Oswald finished Rod’s new body so that most likely won’t happen again).

However, true to the Hatbox Ghost’s word, it seems like the new round has started and everyone in the Haunted Mansion has a front row seat to watching the torture unfold. This time you are no longer in the comfort of someone who has any idea of how to get them out.

… There sure are a lot of people you might recognize this time around, huh?]

It's strange that they didn't find someone else for the job. After Ghostave and I, I thought they would have continued to pick hosts who would serve as an ulterior motive.

But Facilier... I guess they no longer need an ulterior motive for a host now.

Perhaps they couldn't get anyone else to agree to working with them?

You would have to be pretty desperate to willingly agree to something like this.

[Poke poke, Rod. While everyone else is keeping a close eye on the TV, or gone off to wallow in despair, Oswald suddenly seems to have something on his mind.

If he does, he's not saying just yet, only jerking a thumb towards the door to the hallway. Meet me outside. He seems to say before heading that way himself.]

[From the first day Rod's been trying to figure out how to get these people out of the Manor, so his eyes are glued pretty hard to the TV set, trying to find some possible location to where this could be or any possible weak point.

It's not going well, needless to say.

He's a little shocked when he sees Oswald asking him to go outside with him, but he knows Oswald well enough to trust him with whatever he wants to tell him. So he follows him outside of the mansion.]

You need me for something?

Yeah, probably.

[Once they're at least out in the yard of the mansion, Oswald turns back to Rod. He's looking rather reserved, despite everything. Though, perhaps "tired" is a better word.]

I was hoping you could give me a hand with something I probably should have done a while ago.

[There is a very brief pause.]

Of course I'll help. What do you need to do?

[They're alone in the yard, but Oswald still feels as though something's watching him. He checks over his shoulder before speaking.]

I want you to help me contact Mickey.

[keyofimagination]

"Mickey"...?

[His eyes seem to light up a little at that.]

Right, he might be able to help us!

[forgottenfounder]

Exactly. Walt said he was going to call for Mickey, right before Main Street was attacked. Now, if anyone can help us, it's him.

[He looks down at his hands.] Even if he doesn't recognize me, I've gotta warn him about everything!

I'm sure Mickey will recognize you; you're his brother after all.

[If he doesn't, Rod will personally find a way to revive Walt just to punch him in the face.]

But you're right, Walt said he had some powers himself, maybe even ones that could undo everything bad that's going on.

The issue would be actually contacting him, and without revealing where we are to everyone else.

[You know. like to the Hatbox Ghost.]

Mickey is pretty powerful, even without a brush. He's not as big a star as he is for nothing.

[He taps his foot, hands resting on his hips.]

Right. We don't know how he could notice, so we'll have to be careful. [hmmm.] Any ideas?

[He looks thoughtful.]

If I knew where he currently resides, it would make everything so much easier...

The only idea that comes to mind is finding out where he is and secretly mail a letter to him.

Where he lives....

[He frowns at that.]

Well, last I checked, Mickey might live in a place called "Toontown". Which is called "Ostown" back in Wasteland.

[Which was also called "Toontown" before Oswald blacked out in a fit of envy and woke up to half the sign destroyed.]

[He shakes his head.]

That is perhaps where your Mickey is from, but Walt needed to contact the Mickey. I fear bringing in anyone who isn't the Mickey would result in him being subject to the same fate that others here have suffered.

[Like... Walt, mainly.]

The Mickey... But you're right, I don't want my Mickey to possibly end up in the same situation as the rest of us.

[Or worse.... like Walt.]

Ugh... [Scratches his head.] If he's somewhere like "the place where dreams are made" that's gonna make delivering a letter much harder. Knowing Mickey, he could be off on some big adventure right now.

If he's on an adventure now, I hope it's to save the people in the manor right now.

[He looks thoughtful.]

But if he is, there might be a chance he could be looking for us too. If that's the case we just need to figure out how to signal him without letting anyone else see it.

Heh, wouldn't that be hoping for the best. [God he hopes.]

Something only he could see... [he frowns, thinking hard. What if... oh.] it would have to be something he could easily recognize. Maybe something real familar to him, but something other people miss.

[Wow, Rod actually seems surprised about this.]

You know it would be incredibly dangerous. Something bad could happen to you if we aren't careful about this.

...What? No, I was going to suggest using Hidden Mickeys to get his attention - y'know, the three circles that get put in places?

[Holy shit, Rod.]

Oh.

[Rod quickly looks away and clears his throat. He seems embarrassed about jumping co conclusions like that.]

...That's not a bad idea. I've never paid attention to those myself, so I think it's a good sign that it's a safe enough code that we won't get discovered.
