[It’s another average, but boring morning in the mansion when suddenly voices start coming from Rod’s room again. Thankfully, the room is locked and it appears that he isn’t trapped inside his own body (luckily for everyone it appears that Oswald finished Rod’s new body so that most likely won’t happen again).

However, true to the Hatbox Ghost’s word, it seems like the new round has started and everyone in the Haunted Mansion has a front row seat to watching the torture unfold. This time you are no longer in the comfort of someone who has any idea of how to get them out.

… There sure are a lot of people you might recognize this time around, huh?]

[suddenly I'm just imagining Hades or someone else showing up like "you rang????" :)

Joshua says nothing to that, and for a moment it's quiet.

... Until he starts picking up some of the furniture with his mind again to toss against the ground because god damnit he's supposed to be omniscient but he has no idea where the third game is or where in the underworld Neku might be now--

... He also may have said some of that out loud too but he's too annoyed to even notice.]

[Tadashi's surprised Hades hasn't already tracked them down just because he's there.

He can't quite think of anything to fill the silence, so he's also quiet, watching as Joshua returns to his demolition. There's nothing he feels he can say; Joshua's calmed down and has an outlet for his frustrations and isn't really a kid or Hiro, so humor won't really help the situation.

Joshua's not-so-internal musings don't really help aside from keeping the silence from becoming completely unbearable, until Tadashi decides to say something.]

...You know, I'm starting to wonder if some sort of blood ritual might actually help us out. Since we've hit a dead end with our other option and that's the only other thing anyone's suggested.

[He never thought he'd find himself agreeing with Marnie on something like that, really.]

Normally I would find that option tacky, but just about anything is starting to sound feasible at this point.

I told Rod that I knew a little about magic involving dreams, but the only person I could see myself being able to successfully reach if tried was Neku, due to...

[A pause, before he frowns.]

Well, Neku's soul--or whatever amount of him was actually brought here--it doesn't matter now, the point is he's considered dead again at the moment. [... Because that sentence totally makes sense to say.] So instead, I suppose I could try to contact or at least get an idea of where this Mickey is, if he really is out there looking for us.

So the success rate goes down drastically if it's not someone you're very familiar with, I'm guessing?

[Or at least somehow connected, in their case. It makes a fair amount of sense.]

I think you should try...or I'd like you to try. Either Mickey or one of the ones still in the game, if you can get through to one of them. Save the tacky solutions until the very end.

[Also maybe because Neku may or may not have been brought here from Traverse Town while having been held together with the equivalent of our dreams and some soul duct-tape... I mean--]

... Alright. After the trial, I'll give it a shot and see what happens.

[What's Josh's opinion on hugs? Hopefully he's not averse to them, because Tadashi's going to lean over and wrap his arms around his shoulders.]

[... Well, seeing as Joshua has probably not been hugged by anyone in like... literal years, you'll actually get him to look genuinely surprised by that action here.

He doesn't move to reciprocate, but at the same, he's not pulling away either...]

[It's not a very long hug, and Tadashi looks a little embarrassed when he pulls away.]

Heh...I didn't mean to startle you.

There's a bit of silence here, before Joshua speaks again.]
